July 21st

Today I removed the broken exaust pipes. It seemed like a good first step because they would definently need to be replaced eventualy. The bolts by the rear of the bike were not very stubborn. The new exaust came with replacement bolts, but I kept them anyway. On both sides, the exhaut pipe itself had actualy broke and part of it was still attatched to the exaust manifold. This would have to come off for the new one to go on. The previous owner had apparently welded the pipe in addition to stripping the bolt that is supposed to attatch the two ends. I had no choice but to saw the pipe going to the engine a few inches to remove this section (don't worry, the new pipes are still long eneuph) There is no point in putting the new ones on because the whole exuast manifolt might have to be removed, depending on what the problem.
